Principal's Message

My name is Arturo Salazar and I am the principal of Meyler Street Elementary School.  It is my pleasure to welcome you to the HOME OF THE MUSTANGS!  We are a dynamic elementary school with many exciting programs designed to help our young learners become college and career ready by acquiring 21st Century skills. 

We offer programs such as Early Transitional Kindergarten (ETK) and a Spanish Dual Language program.  We have awesome partnerships like our Mini-Med program with the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center that teaches our students about the biomedical world, and the STEM Coalition, a group that includes military personnel from the Space Force that teach our students how to create rockets and about astrophysics.  Our entire staff is dedicated to ensuring our students learn and develop in a safe and positive environment, continuously message positivity and self-confidence. 

I am proud to be the principal of Meyler Street Elementary School and I am looking forward to the possibilities we can create for our students!
